What Went Down for Geomi at Aptos Experience 2025

Geomi brought the builder energy to NYC for Aptos Experience 2025. From launching Geomi Points to live dApp demos, here's our recap of an unforgettable week with the community.

The second edition of Aptos Experience was packed with announcements, hands-on sessions, collabs, and pure builder energy – and Geomi showed up in full force. We launched new features, jammed with dozens of project teams, and saw the ecosystem bring our platform to life in real time. The event reminded us of why we build – for community, creativity, and on-chain collaboration. Here are a few of our standout moments.

Sharing Geomi's Vision

We took the Builder House stage to showcase what Geomi is, how it's powering real projects, and what's next on the horizon. We shared how Geomi is evolving — from a simple node API into the full-stack infrastructure layer for every Aptos developer — and unveiled Geomi Points, a new loyalty and rewards system for builders and ecosystem contributors. Builders got a firsthand look at how our tools make on-chain data more accessible, complete, and actionable – and the energy in the room left no doubt: The community is just as eager as we are to push the boundaries of what's possible on Aptos.

Announcing Geomi Points

One of our biggest moments was the launch of Geomi Points. They're our new way to recognize and reward the builders, explorers, and contributors helping Geomi grow. Whether you're building integrations, testing dashboards, or sharing feedback — your participation matters.

The response – both onsite and online – was incredibly positive, and we can't wait to roll out more details on how Points will power future rewards, collaborations, and ecosystem opportunities. Learn more about how to start earning Geomi Points here.

Building Live: A Game of Craps on Aptos

What better way to show off Geomi's power than building a fully functional dApp live on stage? Greg took the mic and walked builders through creating a game of craps from scratch — complete with on-chain logic, real-time data indexing, and instant deployment.

Watching the demo come to life in minutes (not days) showed exactly why developers are choosing Geomi: it removes the complexity so you can focus on the fun part — building cool stuff. The crowd was locked in, and the questions afterward proved that builders are ready to ship.

Unleashing Merch Mania

Who knew Geomi plushie keychains would become one of the hottest items at the conference? Our merch drop – featuring adorable plushie keychains and custom Geomi socks — was a hit. By the end of Day 1, all the keychains were gone, and on Day 2, we spotted builders proudly rocking their new Geomi gear all over the venue.

Seeing the community's love for something that started as a fun side project honestly meant the world to us.

Office Hours = Builder Power

We hosted office hours with 32 project teams, helping founders and developers problem-solve everything from on-chain data queries to visualization pipelines. It was builder energy at its finest, and we used it to tackle real challenges and find real solutions, all in real time.

Getting the Geomi Team Together IRL

Aptos Experience also gave our international team (across Asia, Europe, and the US) a rare moment to gather in NYC. We spent the week jamming on ideas, aligning on the next phase of Geomi, and getting some much-needed face time after months of remote collaboration.

Looking Ahead

Leaving Aptos Experience, one thing's clear: the Geomi community is growing fast, and we're just getting started.

We're taking everything we learned from this week and channeling it into what's next for Geomi. Stay tuned.
